comment UFO does not deal with generical dependency. SCO-U adapts BFO representation, modeling the “generically depends on” and ”concretizes” object properties on the basis of corresponding BFO object properties. See axioms that include references to them. We envision discussions with subject matter experts to deepen this representation towards a UFO-compliant representation of generical dependency., This object property is intended to correspond to BFO ‘generically depends on’ object property within the context of UFO representation. As UFO does not deal with generical dependence (BFO sense, see for instance Arp et al., 2015), we provide a representation following BFO indications. We also restrict the domain of this object property to the ‘information content entity’ class and the range to the union of ‘object’ and ¬ ‘system spatial region’ classes. This is enough adequate for the current purposes of SCO. Nevertheless, we envision discussions with subject matter experts regarding the representation of generical dependence in the context of UFO, modeling of related object properties as well as to revise object property domain and range. See the corresponding BFO object property for a definition and further details. http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/BFO_0000084 Arp, R., Smith, B., & Spear, A. D. 2015.
